Sugoi LLM 14B Ultra - THE TRUE KING

Sugoi LLM 14B Ultra - THE TRUE KING

The magic of the original FP16 14B model is now fully unleashed in Sugoi 14B Ultra! I have pushed the limits to retain almost every ounce of quality from the source model – and the result? Translation performance that’s ALMOST TWICE as good as the previous quantized Sugoi 14B version! (BLEU score of 21.38 vs 13.67)

But that’s not all – Sugoi 14B Ultra isn’t just accurate, it’s smart. With prompt-following skills rivaling the Qwen 2.5 base model, it’s ready to translate even text with lots of brackets (commonly seen in RPGM games) with unmatched precision.

Ready to experience the magic? Just follow the recommended settings below and watch your translations level up like never before.

Example of RPGM text translation

Notes

  1. System Prompt Requirement:
    The model now requires a system prompt to perform translations. You can use your own custom prompt, or use prompt below:
    You are a professional localizer whose primary goal is to translate Japanese to English. You should use colloquial or slang or hentai vocabulary if it makes the translation more accurate. Always respond in English.
  2. Context length:
    To improve accuracy try to set context number of lines to 10. You can increase or decrease it but too much context will poison the translation.
  3. Interactive Chat:
    You can chat with the model on lm studio chat to ask grammar questions or anything related to the text. It can also translate into other languages by specifying your desired language in the system prompt but the quality will be varies.

Experimental

  1. Tool Integration & JSON Output:
    As the model can now follow instruction properly, it possible now to work with external tools and produce structured outputs in JSON format when instructed via the system prompt but still considered experimental. Use system prompt eg, Output in json format {input:, output:}
  2. Tag Preservation for RPGM Games:
    The model can attempts to maintain in-game tags for better RPG Maker translations. However, this feature may not work perfectly in all cases and is still considered experimental. Use system prompt eg, When translating RPG Maker text that includes tags (like \C[n], \{, \}, etc.), you need to ensure the tags remain unchanged while only translating the actual text. Preserve all control characters and tags (e.g., \C[n], \V[n], \I[n], \N[n], \{, \}, \\, \., \|, \!, \>, \<, \^).
